HOST A POP UP

fitness in fun, unique, and unexpected places!

Places we pop-up!

  • Participants in a barre fitness class at a brewery with a flight of beer.

    Breweries

The Beat created the original barre & beer class! Taprooms make great spaces for unconventional fitness classes. In the past we’ve offered barre fitness classes where participants receive a flight of beer to enjoy at their leisure throughout the class. High top tables, bar stools, or walls are used to serve the purpose of a ballet barre - balance. We offer a wide range of formats, to ensure safety and a good time!

    Corporate Events

Bring wellness into your workplace! The Beat Studio got its start doing on-site corporate fitness & stretch classes back in 2018 and it still makes up a lot of the work that we do today. Whether it’s an ongoing weekly class at your office, or a one-off special event, we’d love to come and get your employees moving!

What we can offer

The formats listed here are a broad overview of what we offer. We work with you to determine what type of class would be best for the space you have and the desired audience. Formats can be mix and matched as well - for example, a “Strength and Stretch” class would be a mixture of Resolution and Flow or Restore.

  • Barre fitness uses small, repetitive movements to train the body like a ballerina. You’ll focus on the back-body muscles like glutes, hamstrings, and calves, while using your core to stabilize the whole time.

Barre classes are inspired by ballet and pilates. This is a beginner friendly workout because the movements are small and controlled, but don’t be fooled, experienced exercisers will be challenged too! Barre workouts focus on muscles that are often overlooked, which makes this class a perfect compliment to activities such as running, cycling, climbing, and heavy weight training!

  • Flow classes look and feel similar to a vinyasa style yoga class. The sequencing and poses move smoothly from one shape to the next helping both the body and mind to open, connect, and find balance.

Inspired by yoga, this class connects body and breath for a warming experience, building the strength your body needs so that it can safely stretch and release.

  • epeat is a class designed to push your training edge and fine tuning the body with cardio, strength, and core training. Its interval format keeps you moving and motivated.

Repeat classes are what is know as HIIT or LIIT - High or Low Intensity Interval Training. You’ll be working with a set time and exercises that repeat to form intervals. The structure of the intervals vary from workout to workout so that you don’t get bored, but repeating moves will amp up your workout allowing you to move past the ‘learning’ phase and move into the ‘training’ phase.

  • Resolution is a strength workout. We use resistance in the form of dumbbells, barbells and body weight to challenge the muscles and build up muscular endurance.

This class is called Resolution not because of silly new year’s goals, but instead because of the mental strength and resolve it requires to challenge your body, lift weights, and build the body of your dreams. This class is for all genders, but women who are shy to start lifting weights, end up being hooked after a few classes!

  • Restore is inspired by restorative yoga. It’s a breathing and meditation practice where we use props to support the body and hold postures for minutes at a time. While this practice is intended to be very comfortable for the body using pillows, yoga blocks, bolsters, blankets, sometimes even eye masks it can be a challenge for the mind to slow down and be in the present moment.

Restore classes are designed to offer balance and wholeness to the other styles we offer on demand. They can be done on their own, or after one of the other formats a longer wind down period. As with all of the classes I offer, you’ll be guided to fin the best postures and positions for your body, and you’ll never have to try to contort yourself into a rigid idea of what it “should” look like.

  • Looking at cultures across the world and throughout time, music and dancing can be found everywhere. Turn on some music and babies intuitively bop and bounce to the beat. As humans we feel the rhythm deep in our souls, so let’s bring it to the surface and move with joy!

Soul Beats is a class developed exclusively for The Beat On Demand. I grew up dancing, have trained in a variety of dance fitness modalities, experienced and observed countless other dance and dance fitness classes, and synthesized it into a class I call Soul Beats. I chose the name because of how I feel music down into my soul, it intertwines with all of my being, and the rhythm of the music and the beat of my own heart merge into one.

  • Self massage or myofacial release can be performed almost anywhere with a series of tools including small rubber balls and larger inflatable ones. Participants are guided on how to use the balls to provide relief to tight muscles, adjusting the pressure and technique for their own bodies.
